Be Proud Of Who You Are
© S Raine more by S Raine
I come with no wrapping or pretty pink bows.
I am who I am from my head to my toes.
I tend to get loud when speaking my mind.
Even a little crazy some of the time.
I'm not a size 5 and don't care to be.
You can be you and I can be me.
I try to stay strong when pain knocks me down.
And the times that I cry is when no ones around.
To error is human or so that's what they say.
Well tell me who's perfect anyway.
Annabel Lee
By Edgar Allan Poe more Edgar Allan Poe
It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of ANNABEL LEE;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.
I was a child and she was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea;
But we loved with a love that was more than love-
I and my Annabel Lee;
With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven
Coveted her and me.
Fire And Ice
By Robert Frost more Robert Frost
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
Waiting At The Window
By A. A. Milne more A. A. Milne
These are my two drops of rain
Waiting on the window-pane.
I am waiting here to see
Which the winning one will be.
Both of them have different names.
One is John and one is James.
All the best and all the worst
Comes from which of them is first.
James has just begun to ooze.
He's the one I want to lose.
John is waiting to begin.
He's the one I want to win.
James is going slowly on.
Something sort of sticks to John.
John is moving off at last.
James is going pretty fast.
John is rushing down the pane.
James is going slow again.
James has met a sort of smear.
John is getting very near.
Is he going fast enough?
(James has found a piece of fluff.)
John has quickly hurried by.
(James was talking to a fly.)
John is there, and John has won!
Look! I told you! Here's the sun!
All The World's A Stage
By William Shakespeare more William Shakespeare
All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages.
Sekspir-Sonet 18
Kad poredim tebe s lepim danom leta –
Ti si mnogo lepša, više ljupka, nežna;
Pupoljak se smrzne u maju kad cveta,
Lepota je leta vrlo kratkosežna.
Katkad sunce s neba odveć vrelo sine,
Njemu lice zlatno oblak često skriva,
Sva lepota žene sa vremenom mine –
Priroda il’ udes čari joj razriva.
Al’ tvog leta sunce nikad neće zaći –
Ti ostat’ nikad nećeš bez sadašnjeg sjaja;
Van života ti se nikad nećeš naći
Dok u pesmi ovoj večnost te osvaja.
Sve dok ljudi vide i dok život traje
Ova pesma tebi život će da daje.

Ona ide u svetlu lepote
Ko noć blaga u zvezdanom sjaju.
Sve što ima u svetu krasote:
Svetlog, tamnog – njene oči daju
Sve nežnosti, i divote s njima,
Što dan blistav ne može da ima.
Ni zrak manje, ni ti više sama
Sen u valu crnih joj vitica
Il u skladu loknica, il prama
Što se spušta preko njenog lica,
Preko čela, gde čedne, spokojne
Misli – svoga mesta su dostojne
Na tom licu koje ozarava
Srećni osmeh večite vedrine;
Gde dobrotom svakog očarava
Mirni odsjaj večite vrline,
Na tome se divnom licu čita
Ljubav – mirna, nevina i večita.
